Many in our community are hurting.

Thousands of talented people in tech have been "involuntarily separated" from their jobs due to reduction in force layoffs, poor performance evaluations (in spite of previous positive reviews), politics, or just drawing the short stick.

Regardless of the reason the impact is the same. Beyond the hit on income and benefits (and status and pride), losing a job creates a deeper fear: what if my career is stalling out?

![IMG_1593](https://www.falsarkar.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_1593.jpeg?width=386&height=289&name=IMG_1593.jpeg)

Tech loves "disruption". We celebrate it when it drives innovation, but when it lands in our own back yard, it feels different. Frankly it sucks.

After the shock, people tend to do one of two things: retreat to behind their screens, doom scrolling through endless job boards, submitting, waiting....crickets.

Or they reignite the spark that got then started, and has taken them as far as they have come.

![IMG_1739](https://www.falsarkar.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Video%20THumbnails/IMG_1739.jpeg?width=301&height=401&name=IMG_1739.jpeg)

For me, it meant getting out from behind my screen, and go out into the world, to find my community. I hit MeetUps, Luma events, attended panels, demos, pitch events, VC presentations, Robot Battles, and even a rave or two.

My simple rule: meet five people, exchange LinkedIn QR Codes (for those of you in the back, that's a fancy way of saying exchange contact info and connect), follow up, engage, rinse, spit and repeat. Land and expand.

Breaking out of my comfort zone has opened doors, sparked new and interesting friendships, and reminded me that I wasn't alone.

And neither are you.

![IMG_1715](https://www.falsarkar.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_1715.jpeg?width=384&height=288&name=IMG_1715.jpeg)

That's why I offer a free 45-min Alignment Session.

It's a chance to get perspective on your resume (does it really suck?), your LinkedIn (why do I only have 20 connections, I know more people than that!!), and job search eval (why is my network not working for me, what am I doing wrong??). Uncover blind spots, and unlock the attitude shift that will move you forward.

![IMG_3745](https://www.falsarkar.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_3745.jpeg?width=404&height=303&name=IMG_3745.jpeg)

My role is to provide clarity, empathy, and a roadmap. So you can take the next step with confidence.

Hit me up for a time slot. If I know you from a previous life, it will be fun to catch up. Gossip. Recall war stories. And if I don't know you from a previous life, it will be great to get to know you.

And then we make it happen!
